I’m excited to share that I’ll be starting a monthly book club designed for anyone curious about therapy, mental health, and the many ways we grow as humans. The goal is to create a space where we can explore stories, insights, and ideas that make therapy approachable and relatable. Each month, I’ll choose a book that sheds light on different aspects of healing—whether through the lens of psychology, lived experience, or practical tools for everyday life. My hope is that these books spark conversation, deepen understanding, and offer support for anyone on their journey toward wellness.

July 2025's Pick: Good Morning, Monster by Catherine Gildiner

Good Morning, Monster is a moving account of five of the author’s most memorable therapy clients. What stood out to me was how the book read almost like a novel—engaging, heartfelt, and deeply human—while still offering meaningful psychological insights. Gildiner highlights stories of resilience and recovery, reminding us of the power of compassion, empathy, and the strength of the human spirit in the face of hardship. I especially appreciated how these narratives not only illustrated the challenges of trauma but also showed the courage it takes to heal.

This book is a powerful reminder that therapy is not just about addressing problems, but also about uncovering resilience and finding hope. I look forward to hearing your thoughts as we dive into this story together.
